#SYMANTEC ENDPOINT PROTECTION WINDOWS 10 CRASH WINDOWS#Hmm, probably the crash happened too early even for Windows Error Reporting. the last advice to use "Windows Error reporting" method didn't work for me. if someone can guide me on getting a dump, i can fetch more info on this. Crash happened on my work laptop, so i cannot confirm this by updating the SEP version because it's updation is handled by company group policy. It was caused by SEP and a workaround was to disable "–disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity" on chrome to make it launch. My SEP Version is 14.2 build 1023, and i am not confirming that SEP is causing the crash here, i suspect SEP because in my workplace we had a crash on chrome caused by SEP a while back, the crash that is mentioned in below article. Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce your issue using Symantec Endpoint Protection Version 14 (14.3MP1) build 1169 (.0100) on my Wind64bit machine.įor me, Firefox 82.0 launches successfully. (In reply to Emil Ghitta, QA from comment #4) Tried executing Firefox using the below argument too, this too didnt create any dumps.Ĭd "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox"\firefox.exe set MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE=1 I tried to do exactly that, i created the LocalDumps key under "Windows Error reporting" as suggested, then opened firefox, it crashed in 4,5 seconds, but no crash dump is created in below folder, i also tried to start "windows error reporting services" from services.msc, am i doing something wrong here, anything else i can try? Windows OS may still be able to collect a crash dump.Ĭan you please configure Windows Error Reporting (WER) to get it to create a minidump of the crash by following the steps described in And if a dump is generated, please share it with me via email so that we can analyze. It seems the crash happened too early to be caught by our crash reporter. (In reply to Toshihito Kikuchi from comment #1) Should have boot up correctly, i couldn't get a crash report from 82 since it wont boot up, so i captured a report from ESR 78.4.0esr and attached it below. #SYMANTEC ENDPOINT PROTECTION WINDOWS 10 CRASH DRIVER#could be an AV issue or driver issue.įull crash, wont boot up, exe shows in task manager for like 5 secs and disappear. im in a windows machine with 1909 build 64 bit, and have Symantec endpoint installed, it's a work lap and i tried reproducing the same issue in colleagues laptop with similar spec and he is also facing the same issue. suspect it has to do something with 82 changes. #SYMANTEC ENDPOINT PROTECTION WINDOWS 10 CRASH INSTALL#I've been on 81.0.1 build, i updated to Firefox 82 today and Firefox wont start anymore, I did an install refresh, did a reinstall, dosent seems to work, i had an older version of Firefox developer edition installed which was working, today i updated it to 83 and it also wont start, i tried Firefox ESR 78.4.0esr which is working fine.
